DescriptionInveravon is a church parish on the south bank of the river Spey in Scotland. The parish boundaries stretches back into the Grampians towards the sources of the Don for about 20 miles, lying partly in the county of Moray, but chiefly in the county of Banff. Ballindalloch is the largest village and is known for its castle and whiskey distilleries. The battle of Altachoylachan or Glenlivet was fought on the 4th of October 1594 in this area.
