| Description | Also known as Feedom Castle. In the 12th century it was reportedly owned by Hugh de Lacy, Lord of Meath. A later version was built about 1550 and was a stronghold of Shane O'Neill. The castle was captured by the English during the Nine Years War (circa 1600) and was then demolished in 1730. |
