DescriptionHolsworthy is a market town in the north west of Devon, England. It is situated near the county border with Cornwall. The town has occupied a hill top site since Saxon times. Holsworthy was listed in the Domesday Book, as part of the estate of Harold Godwinson. Holsworthy , became a safe trading centre in 1154. A second charter was granted by King James I in 1614.
