The earliest mention of Haslington is in 1256, when it was called "Hesinglinton", meaning "enclosure amongst hazel trees". In the reign of Edward I, the Barony of Wich-Malbank (Nantwich) was divided and Haslington was given to an Auda Vernon of Shipbrooke. |
